Offering ESD Protection Flexibility, Bourns Unveils TVS Diode Series Available in Space-Saving DO-214AB Package
New series with 21 unidirectional and bi-directional models features broad working peak reverse voltage range from 12 V to 30 V
Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today unveiled its 5.0SMDJ Series Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes. Available in a space-saving, compact DO-214AB package, the new series is designed to provide effective Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection for portable communications, computing and video equipment applications. The Bourns® 5.0SMDJ Series includes 13 unidirectional models and eight bi-directional models.
Offering high performance energy absorption and clamping capabilities, these new TVS diodes enable designers to select from a broad working peak reverse voltage range from 12 V to 30 V. The 5.0SMDJ Series also features peak pulse power of 5,000 watts and breakdown voltage up to 36.8 V with typical fast response times of less than 1 nanosecond to clamping after breakdown initiation. The series has also been tested to JEDEC standards.
The Bourns® 5.0SMDJ Series TVS Diode is available now and is RoHS compliant and halogen free.
