Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. – Alltek Technology Co., Ltd (Ticker: 3209), has acquired the SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) funds provided by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan for Next-Generation Microwave Traffic Sensor. In the past, this technology has been mostly used in military applications; however, this technology has been widely used in non-government industries such as automobile’s collision avoidance systems, speed sensor apparatus, electronic toll collection systems, and etc.
The research and development of this project will be combining the efforts from and within domestic manufacturers, government org., and academic communities. The goal is to develop the core technology of FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous-Wave) solid-state radar system. Some of the most cutting edge designs such as four dimensional target measurements, 2D FFT processing, and angle tracking system will greatly enhance the capability of targets identifications and detections. The developing of this system also enhance the cost competitiveness of some of the most advanced technologies such as RF packaging, panel antenna, COTS DSP, and etc.
Alltek Technology has always been strived to become the leading communication components distributor and solutions provider in the Asian Pacific’s. We hope that by participating in this FMCW solid-state radar system development, our technologies know-how will benefit our clients. Moreover, we expect that this valuable development will accelerate our technology process, and ultimately open up whole new territories in Maritime Electronics, Security Monitoring, and Industrial Electronics fields.
